Short Description:

SCOURGE® is a restricted use synthetic pyrethroid that is effective for the control of mosquitoes (including organophosphate resistant species), biting and non-biting midge, blackflies, and biting and non-biting flies. It is labeled for both ground and aerial application. It is a superb product to battle resistance due to rapid degradation. It will not persist in the environment, thus minimizing the time insects are exposed to the active ingredient which in turn reduces the chance for insects to develop resistance.

Active Ingredient:

Resmethrin and Piperonyl Butoxide Technical

Mode of Action:

SCOURGE is a nerve synapse toxin which disrupts the transfer of sodium and potassium ions across the Axom Hillock.

Where/When to use:

SCOURGE is designed for use when targeted insects are active. SCOURGE provides effective control for targeted insects in areas such as but not limited to industrial areas, urban areas, parks, campsites, woodlands, athletic fields, golf courses, playgrounds, recreational and overgrown waste areas, roadsides, and other public areas where adult mosquitoes and flies occur.

Formulations/Packaging:

  • SCOURGE 18-54 is available in 5 gl pail, 30 gl dr and 55 gl dr
  • SCOURGE 4-12 is available in 5 gl pail, 55 gl dr and 275 gl tote

Features/Benefits:

  • The most significant attribute of SCOURGE is its effectiveness against insecticide resistant insects.
  • This product will, many times, control insect populations that many other products will not control.
  • Another important attribute of this product is the lack of photo stability. This allows rapid degradation of the active ingredient which minimizes the persistence in the environment. This also minimizes exposure to insects which may help greatly in their ability to develop resistance to this and other compounds.
